Club-1 NT
Rostrum NT is a friendly group that meets at lunch time every Tuesday. It offers the chance for you to practise public speaking in a welcoming and comfortable environment. At meetings members give a short talk on a set topic that changes every week. The topics are chosen so the meetings are entertaining and interesting - they will make you think and laugh.
In the process, members practice presenting an argument. At the end of the meeting, constructive advice is given to help everyone improve their skills.
Meetings are informal and there is always lots of encouragement for speakers - if anybody has stage fright at first, they very soon get over it at Rostrum!
Rostrum is a lot of fun and has great rewards - it improves all your speaking skills, whether in private conversation or in public speaking to significant audiences.
The environment is relaxed and jovial. It’s a great way to sharpen up some of the most important of all life skills.
So, if you want to improve your public speaking or just have an entertaining lunch time when you can meet new friends, come along to Rostrum. Everyone and all ages welcome!
