Rostrum Clubs
At club meetings members help each other gain confidence and improve their speaking skills in a relaxed, friendly and supportive environment. Members learn by practising under the guidance of an accredited coach.
Members can follow a structured program, or may choose areas they personally want to improve, for example presentations, speeches for formal occasions such as weddings, or practice for job interviews.
Why join Rostrum?
If you wish to gain confidence and improve your speaking skills there are several options open to you.
Training Courses: There are a number of courses available locally, but these can be rather expensive and once you've completed the course you will still want to practice and further develop the skills you have learnt. Many people join Rostrum after doing a short course on public speaking. - Self-help books and "How-to" websites: You can gain lots of tips and information from books and the internet, but to gain confidence and improve your speaking skills you really need to practice! Rostrum provides a relaxed, friendly and supportive environment where you can practice and develop these skills.
- Other public speaking clubs & organisations: Rostrum is not the only organisation that promotes effective communication and freedom of speech. One area where Rostrum differs from other organisations though is with our coaching accreditation: All Rostrum Coaches are experienced members who have undertaken a structured training course.
