Club-33

Having commenced life as Provisional Rostrum Club of Port Adelaide 23 March 2009, Club 33 was inaugurated at a special ceremony on 27th February 2012.

Club33-0

From all walks of life, our members include university lecturers, teachers, an engineering designer, tour guide, retail manager, salesperson, project manager (IT), financial counsellor, author and cruise ship speakers.

We come to Rostrum for many reasons. High among them is the chance to research and talk on topics we are vitally interested in and to develop the speaking skills and confidence that will allow us to live up to the promise we make: to not be silent when I ought to speak. We learn how to run meetings in a professional and efficient manner, including chairmanship, minutes, motions, agendas and business arising.

Club33-1We come to be involved in the Voice of Youth, to keep the mind sharp, to talk about things that matter, to learn the difficult art of public speaking in a non-judgemental and safe setting, to have a laugh, and to stare down our fears.

But we also come for the fellowship, the camaraderie, and the opportunity to learn from each other about our experiences in the world, in the workplace, in life.

We warmly welcome visitors and prospective members to join us to add to our fellowship and experience.
