Rostrum Club 26 Website Information

• Rostrum Club 26 meets at 7.15am on the first and third Tuesday of each month for breakfast with business commencing at 7.30am. Our meetings are for one hour ending promptly at 8.30am. We meet upstairs in a private room at Lenas Cafe, 63 Flinders Street, Adelaide. A cooked breakfast, coffee, tea and/or water and fruit juices are available for a total cost of about $10.

  We very much enjoy having visitors who are not expected to speak (although they may participate if they wish).

  We spend a short time dealing with business and learning how to participate in and manage a meeting. This is under the guidance of an experienced and trained senior member who chairs the meeting, The majority of our meeting time is devoted to various speaking exercises including speeches, readings and debates. Members may ask to be rostered to give presentations or make particular types of speeches, for example, a speech at a wedding by a Best Man. Our Club also has an experienced Coach who gives constructive feedback at the end of each meeting so that our members can achieve improvement in their speaking presentations.

  Rostrum Club 26 members are friendly and supportive. We learn a great deal from each other as well as improving our communication skills because there is a good mix of female and male members with varied work backgrounds and interests. Our meetings are characterized by variety, interest, fun and humour. Why not visit us! Be inspired, find out new things and laugh a lot. It's a great way to start the day!

  Fees are very affordable - $75 per annum. No previous public speaking experience is required before you join.
