Well, here is your opportunity to have an audience. This is a public speaking competition in which secondary school students present Prepared and Short Notice (impromptu) speeches in order to gain confidence and share their ideas with others
Who is it for?
Full-time secondary school students in Western Australia
Why should you participate?
So you can gain experience and confidence in expressing your views and getting your message across. Public speaking develops the self-confidence, communication skills and expressive qualities that are so vital in today's world - particularly for young people on the threshold of their careers. Furthermore, it is good fun!

13 April - Preliminary Heats
18 May - WA State Semi-Final
29 June - WA State Final
27 Jul - National Final
Topics for Prepared Speeches
The same topic may be used for School Heats, Rostrum Club Heats & Semi-Finals
New topics will be issued for the State Finals. These may also be used for the National Finals.
Prizes
Junior and Senior State Finals
Certificates of participation will be presented to all entrants of State heats, semis and finals
