Geelong Club 14 hosted the event at The South Barwon Community Centre with 29 people in attendance. Unfortunately  Wolfgang Schuller’s health was poor at the time and he was unable to attend.  We all wish him well. Thank you to the unsung adjudicators and their significant contribution to the event.

 The three competitions held were:

• Callanan Cup Competition – 10 Minute prepared speech. with Kajol Eagle of Warrnambool Club speaking on ‘The Business’ and Jan Heer- Geelong Club on ‘Don't pay the Ferryman’. Congratulation to the Winner - Jan Heer.
• Wolfgang Schuller Perpetual Shield Competition – 3 Min Impromptu Speech. Contestants received the topic, 'At times mistakes are quite profitable’, when they approached the lectern. Contestants were Contestants - Eric Dixon – Geelong; Victor Douglas – Geelong; Chris Lynch – Warrnambool; Neil Addison – Werribee. Congratulation to the Winner – Neil Addison.
• Jo Davis Cup Speak Off a 10 Min prepared speech with contestants Ivan Saric – Geelong Club – ‘Imperfect Perfection’; Andrew Morris – Werribee Club – ‘Imperfect Perfection’; Liz Toms – Warrnambool Club – ‘Fly me to the Moon’. Congratulations to the winner Liz Toms who goes on to compete in the Jo Davis.
