Welcome!
Club 14 is a friendly, supportive club with a mix of experienced and newer members. Our aim is to provide an opportunity to develop Public Speaking & Meeting Procedure Skills in a relaxed environment. You develop at your own pace and our meetings are flexible to cater for your needs.
Why Join Rostrum Club 14?
If you are keen to develop your communication skills with the support of a friendly group of people then Club 14 may be for you. We have about 12 members attending each week. If you are not normally a morning person, come along and leave inspired, ready to face your day!
Members have the opportunity to work through a personal development program, to practise a speech for a special occasion or even suggest their own topics. We also offer a weekly creative program. Training sessions are provided to cater for the members’ needs.
Where do Club 14 meet?
- Club 14 meets at The Pantry, 64 Charles Street between 7.30 and 8.30 on Tuesday mornings.
- Breakfast is available at a cost of $8.50- $10.50 which includes tea/coffee and a choice of menu items.
- Free parking is available in the nearby streets.
- Some members need to leave early to go to work but that’s fine we have the speaking program first so you won’t miss out.
What is Club 14's best Public Speaking Tip?
Be yourself! If you are interested and enthusiastic about your topic, your audience will want to listen to what you have to say.
What makes Club 14 special?
In 2017, Club 14 was awarded the top club in Tasmania for our creative programming, membership growth, impact in the community and support for Rostrum activities, such as Rostrum Voice of Youth.
