About Rostrum Club 35

Would you like to improve your confidence and self esteem?  Do you want to have something to say and be able to say it with passion?

Rostrum Club 35 is a new club in Walkerville, receiving our official charter in August 2018.

We offer a relaxed setting in which to learn and practise…

  • public speaking & presentation skills,
  • meeting procedure,
  • skills to become a better leader

while learning in the enjoyable company of others.

We Welcome Visitors

Just drop in to experience one of our speaking programmes. Alternatively, contact Paul on 0407 483 691 or submit an e-mail inquiry to saclub35@rostrum.com.au.

Walkerville Rostrum is not only about learning to be a better communicator, to run a meeting better or simply to listen to great stories and interact with other members.  No, we also love a party!  After every meeting, most of us head down to the ‘Nest’ to break bread and chat.

A special offer for new members of Club 35

Long-term member and former Speaker of the Year, Patrick Bourke, a retired University Lecturer who taught Communication Skills to Management Students and a Member qualified in workforce training in public speaking (Certificate IV) will offer new members who have been elected and have paid their subscriptions five weeks free, personal tuition in public speaking and/or meeting  management.

Meeting Format

The speaking programme – This main section includes speeches, training Workshops and other activities. We are sometimes required to speak without notice elsewhere and those skills will be most useful (for that toast or answer).

The business section ensures the objective of the majority of members at the meeting is completed. These invaluable skills are developed and then can be taken out into the broader community.

The coach’s analysis – This includes encouraging and constructive feedback. Suggestions on how to improve will be provided by the accredited Coaches and they are also are very approachable.

Membership Fees

The membership fee works out to be about $2.00 per week.
